    This role will support Lean Six Sigma initiatives within GE Capital Americas Equipment Finance. This role leads complex, non-routine quality improvement projects. Partners to develop strategy and drive implementation. Manages complex issues within functional areas of expertise. Participates in project selection, goal development and project plan design. Facilitates plan execution to meet business objectives and ensure long-term improvement.

    Essential Responsibilities
  • Responsible for providing project management oversight and leadership.
  • Drive continuous improvement to support growth, customer satisfaction and productivity.
  • Coach and mentor Black Belts on team.
  • Utilize expertise to facilitate and lead large cross-functional process improvement teams to deliver results for assigned areas of responsibility
  • Facilitate assigned areas to develop and maintain process measurements and implement controls to monitor current processes.
  • Coach and mentor individuals and teams in the practical application of Lean Six Sigma tools to lead improvement initiatives.
  • Troubleshoot with team members to resolve obstacles/roadblocks, serve as a sounding board for problem resolution and ensures smooth, continuous progress on projects.
  • Keep stakeholders apprised of project status and defined deliverables.
  • Leverage best practices and shares within the team and across the business.
  • Develop rigorous control plans, working closely with process owners, project champions and senior management to ensure improvement gains are sustained on a long-term basis.
  • May facilitate or deliver training and run quality process simulations on the use of quality methodologies and tools.

    Basic Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum 7 years’ experience financial service, operations or customer service setting OR (High School/GED diploma with a minimum 10 years’ experience financial services, operations, customer service setting or equivalent military experience).
  • Project Management Experience.
  • PC skills (Microsoft Office including: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) or comparable software application.

    Desired Characteristics
  • Proven quantitative and analytical skill set.
  • Experience managing complex initiatives across multiple teams/platforms.
  • Experience managing Direct Reports a plus.
  • Intermediate Skills with Microsoft Excel preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in a change-oriented role.
  • Exceptional Six Sigma skills and knowledge - prefer Black Belt certification or ability to certify within 6 months.
  • Strong Project Management experience, including leadership of project team resources.
  • Experience engaging and partnering with Senior Leadership
  • Demonstrated leadership of a cross-business, multi-functional or matrix project.
  • Strong strategic skills with ability to quickly learn a new process, integrate key business needs and formulate a strategic and tactical approach to move forward.
  • Ability to seek out and identify key data themes and distill the findings into an actionable strategy and solution.
  • Significant knowledge and experience with financial services products and processes.
  • Familiarity with the GE Capital Americas products, processes, systems and organization.
  • Strong systems aptitude, able to identify opportunities to leverage technology as a productivity enabler.
  • Able to build and maintain strong relationships at multiple levels of an organization.
  • Exceptional influencing skills with ability to manage expectations and prioritize effectively in a matrix organization.
  • Experience employing a collaborative skill set with demonstrated ability to influence outcomes in a cross-functional, matrix organization.
  • Strong communication & presentation skills...ability to build and deliver effective presentations that are tailored to the needs of the audience, able to influence and gain consensus.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or Economics.
