Lead Assembly Technician for production of newly developed products in the Test (and Electronic Warfare) and Training Operating Unit. Responsible for complete assembly process including precision electrical, mechanical, cable and harness assemblies. Performs production assembly to build up, disassemble and/or re-assemble units. Performs self inspection and testing of assemblies produced. May also be qualified (via Quality System) to perform final inspections of assemblies. May supervise, provide training, and technical guidance to other Test and Training technicians. Unit and Systems Level Test experience, including performance of system calibrations, is a plus. Works with engineers to assist in the development of new products or processes.
Ability to communicate and interface with program team to plan, prioritize, and execute an aggressive manufacturing schedule. Ability to read and comprehend instructions, procedures and basic engineering drawings and specifications; experience with tools necessary to fabricate and test electronic circuitry; ability to work with minimum supervision; Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Power Point); solid background in digital and analog circuitry; candidate should also have good soldering skills; must be a US citizen able to obtain/maintain a SECRET security clearance.
