Prepare in-house electrical estimates by performing research on parts, scope of work, materials and labor hours.
Responsible for reading and interpreting blueprints, and collaborating with engineers, supervisors and other managers on installations and changes.
Also inspects, installs, modifies, tests and maintains electrical/electronic systems, circuits and equipment to ensure proper operation. This may include repairs on manufactured units, industrial equipment or electronic controllers in a manufacturing setting.
Coordinate and schedule installation of electrical for manufactured unitsunits.
The use of power tools such as saws and drills along with hand tools such as conduit benders, wire strippers, screwdrivers and hacksaws as well as ohmmeters and voltmeters to test connections and make sure electrical system components are safe and compatible.
Requires at least seven years of experience as an electrician or a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
