Overview:
This position is responsible for the movement of raw materials and finished goods to and from the assembly lines, warehouse locations, and Kanban locations. Perform material transactions, assist with line clearance, packaging and visual inspection of components and finished devices.

Responsibilities:
Stay up to date on all procedures related to this job, which can affect the quality of products or services provided to customers.
Responsible for following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Cleanliness, orderliness and proper identification of stock in production area.
Ownership of the material transfer to and from production lines.
Stock accuracy in the production and kanban areas.
Marks material with identifying information.
Work with minimal amount of supervision.
Contribute as a team member.
Communicate effectively with supervisor and other team members.
Observe work and safety practices and procedures.
Ensure that material is on the line to prevent any line stoppages.
Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
Maintains inventory records.
Opens boxes, crates, and other containers.
Responsible for the removal of material waste out of production area.
May be called upon to perform other duties, as assigned, for the purpose of cross training or advancement.

Requirements:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 1-2 years related experience in a manufacturing environment. Medical device manufacturing experience is a plus. Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature, but recognizes the need for occasional judgement.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures. Ability to speak effectively to supervisor and other team members and employees.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving general concrete variables in standardized situations. Normally follows established procedures on daily work, requires instructions only on new assignments.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to read and understand procedures, work instructions, material lists and bills of material.
Ability to use common hand tools.
Ability to perform basic computer operations.
Ability to function in a team environment.
Ability to recognize basic component nonconformance.
Mechanical aptitude.
Hand and eye coordination.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds over head. Specific vision abilities required by this job include peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to differentiate color and the ability to adjust focus.
