MINNESOTA AIR NATIONAL GUARD This position is located in the Air National Guard, Mission Support Group, Logistics Readiness Squadron.

NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP REQUIRED

This is an Excepted Service position that requires active membership in a compatible AFSC in the Minnesota Air National Guard and wear of the military uniform. Acceptance of an Excepted Service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment. DUTIES:
Receives and processes notice to stock parts and equipment. Stores all in-warehouse supply and equipment items. Conducts periodic validation of warehouse locations. Selects items to be issued and/or shipped and transfers them to the Cargo Movement Element for subsequent delivery/shipment. Inspects all classes of property for which the USPFO Accountable Officer has responsibility and/or accountability, including small arms, aircraft parts and components; motor vehicle parts; building and construction materials; special equipment; gasses, chemical, and wood products; packaged petroleum products: machines and communication equipment. Monitors material suspect program to eliminate possible hazards or substandard material. Identifies incomplete items. Assigns applicable condition code, affixes tag, initiates requests for component items to restore to serviceable condition. Manages the Precious Metals Recovery Program (PRMP). Assists in formulating policies and procedures to ensure proper management, security, and control of all supplies and equipment in storage. Manages unserviceable holding area. Ensures disposition is received in a timely manner. Trains all supply personnel requiring an inspector's stamp or those performing inspector duties, by signature. Assists in providing bench stock support to customer organizations. Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience or training which demonstrates the ability to compare item identification against receiving reports and issue request forms; skill in using hand trucks, dollies, and other equipment to move stock; ability to use hammers, pliers, and other hand tools; and to follow oral and written instructions.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Experience or training in receiving, packaging, and preparation for shipment. Experience in compiling reports, overall warehouse planning, documentation requirements, and accepted warehousing methods, procedures and techniques. Experience in setting up and rotating storage locations considering factors such as life expectancy, available space, product turnover, etc.

COMPATIBILE MILITARY ASSIGNMENT: AFSC: 2SXXX

MILITARY COMPATIBILITY: Upon selection, individual must be assigned to a compatible military position and must also maintain satisfactory membership in the Minnesota National Guard.

Upon selection, individuals will undergo a background check to validate suitability for employment with the federal government as permitted by law, regulation, Presidential order or other authority. Suitability is dependent upon the particular requirements for security clearance, sensitivity level, and DOD IT network access. Items checked include, but are not limited to all criminal history record information, employment history, education and fiscal accountability/responsibility.

EVALUATION FACTORS: Candidates will be evaluated on the basis of appropriate education, experience, training, self-development activities, and special awards. Candidates are considered on the basis of available information on their current application and supporting information that has been provided to this office. To insure full consideration, applicants are urged to submit information about their training, self-development, outside experience, activities and awards. National Guard military (Part-time) service is considered as full-time experience when evaluated against the qualification requirements for a technician position. The applicant is credited with actual number of months the member has been in the National Guard if the experience is related.

HOW YOU WILL BE EVALUATED:
AREAS OF PRIORITY: In accordance with MN National Guard Regulation 690-335 (Army) or 36-1 (Air), applications will be forwarded to the selecting official to conduct interviews by area of priority listed below:

Area 1: Career/Career-Conditional technicians and Indefinite technicians assigned to the 148th Fighter Wing.

Area 2: Career/Career-Conditional technicians and Indefinite technicians statewide (133rd Airlift Wing and MN Army National Guard) who were initially hired based on a posted job vacancy.

Area 3: Minnesota National Guard technicians who have not previously competed and traditional Minnesota National Guard members.

Area 4: National Guard technicians from other states and civilian persons eligible for membership in the Minnesota Air National Guard.
