This expanding NW Ohio tier 1 automotive supplier which is a leader in their field is seeking a Materials Manger to be over 2 production schedulers, a shipping and receiving clerk and about 6 hourly employees in the shipping area. You will be responsible for the planning, scheduling, forecasitng, warehouse, shipping and receiving as well as interfacing with customers. You will obtain all production materials to meet production schedules while maintaining minimal inventory. As well as developing production schedules to meet customer demands and forecasts, this position will be responsible for on time shipments of finished goods to customers. Other responsibilities are listed below :
review customers historic demands and future releases and develop level loaded production schedules.
responsible for coordination of all customer releases and for the logistics of all customer shipments.
responsible for coordination of all material releases for suppliers.
maintain inventory to meet the needs of the production floor to fill customer orders on an on time basis.
direct the functions and maintain proper inventory control as required.
prepare instructions and write procedures in proper material flow and documentation of inventory through the Inventory Control computer system.
develop procedures and oversee Shipping/Receiving operations.
develop procedures and oversee stockroom/warehouse operations.
Detailed Requirements: REQUIREMENTS:
Four 4 year degree with emphasis in material/operations control or equivalent experience.
Previous management/supervisory experience in a materials function required.
APICs certification desired.
Basic Computer skills. Experience with MRP/ERP systems.
