Executes Material Requirement Plan to ensure material supply equals demand to support production and the optimization of the overall cost of materials.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintains data integrity of ERP planning parameters, including but not limited to material master, information records, and source lists. Analyzes, maintains, and executes Materials Requirement Plan (MRP). Ensures materials are available to support production through MRP execution, on-time delivery, and coordination of materials movement through receiving to production. Plans, schedules, and manages material supply to equal demand. Participates in decision making of Master Production Schedule loading through proper materials sizing.. Effectively manages material requirement changes resulting from Engineering Change Notifications (ECNs) and product End of Life (EOL).
Problem resolution of inventory, accounts payable and freight expenses. Dispositions non-conforming material (MRB), excess, obsolete, and/or high stock materials in a timely manner. Supports Accounts Payable in resolving invoice discrepancies. Minimizes materials freight expenses for Jabil. Optimizes performance on purchasing related Drive By Wire Metrics.
Supports the optimization of overall cost of materials. Issues Purchase Orders to pricing, terms and conditions, per negotiated and agreed to conditions by Jabil Commodity Managers and Buyers. Ensures suppliers adhere to established agreements. Optimizes order management process to ensure effective communication with suppliers. Monitors and continuously improves supplier’s delivery and quality performance. Addresses and resolves recurring or critical issues by utilizing corrective action tools and additional resources. Provides input to drive and execute Jabil’s commodity and pricing strategy. Provides feedback on supplier performance and Jabil’s strategies.
Bachelor’s Degree (Supply Chain Management OR Business Administration) or equivalent, 1 to 3 years’ experience in a relevant Jabil Level 1 Technical or Clerical position OR equivalent external work experience, an experience in electronics manufacturing industry is a plus.
Advanced reading, writing and math skills.
Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Jabil’s software packages.
Strong communication and analytical skills. Attention to detail and ability to work well with teams.
Ability to manage multiple tasks independently along with solid problem solving skills.
Occasional travel may be required.
American Production Inventory Control Society (APIC’s) certification or National Association of Purchasing Managers (NAPM) certification preferred.
