SDI is looking for a Materials Planner for a 12 months contract for our client located in Mequon, WI.

Broad background in procurement, production control, inventory management, and product launches.

MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Develop and maintain an effective process for implementation of Engineering Change Orders (ECO’s).

Work with engineering, SSO/Purchasing, Production planners and manufacturing to develop and execute schedules for ECO’s.

Review and coordinate inventory planning parameters required to successfully implement ECO’s.

Coordination and planning for component obsolescence/EOL.

Conduct ECR/ECO implementation coordination meetings.

ECO Production Implementation: (60%)

Ensure that all material requirements for prototypes, pilots, and production start-up are properly managed.

Make sure the RFQ process with SSO/Purchasing is getting responses in a timely manner and frequently review material lists of critical components necessary to maintain the ECO release schedules.

Lead review of inventory planning parameters with the Master Scheduler/Production Planner and plant Production Control Analysts to successfully launch a product change and maintain supply chain health during the change cycle.

Coordinate the material requirements, purchase orders, and inventory plans to support all prototypes and pilot builds as well as acceleration into steady state operations, ensuring material availability for all pilots and prototypes to support the product support timeline.

EOL/Obsolete Component Coordination: (20%)

Support for End-Of-Life material planning activities for component obsolescence to minimize inventory and manufacturing impact.

This requires a higher level of materials project management since this may include manually monitoring inventory levels outside of the materials system.

Maintain plan to eliminate high-risk components from active product lines, in coordination with engineering and purchasing.

ECR/ECO Meeting Coordination: (20%)

Conduct multi-disciplined ECR/ECO coordination meetings to insure that all involved parties understand their roles and timelines in the ECO implementation.

Create and maintain schedule of ECO meetings, along with timelines of actions due to implement ECO’s.

Process Development: (5%)

Develop processes and procedures related to this function.

Optimize the process to reduce time to implement ECO’s and reduce related hard and soft costs of implementation.
