Duties & Responsibilities:

Ability to teach high school level Math curriculum including Calculus and Statistics (grades 9-12)
Willingness to work with 9
Grade Academy and Core subject team members.
Willingness to work with other department members utilizing technology in the classroom.
Possess competence in computer skills and SmartBoards.
Ability and willingness to work with special needs students requiring extra assistance and/or modified lessons.
Cooperate with and participate in building-based initiatives ex. Data Teams
Ability and willingness to use a variety of teaching strategies to match student learning styles.
Willingness to work with a team of teachers to determine appropriate teaching strategies which will assist in maximizing student performance on standardized assessments.
Willingness to provide extra help to math students (ex. Catch-Up day; before and after school tutoring, etc.)
Supervision, committee assignments and other duties as assigned.
10. Ability to implement Iowa Core Standards in Math, Literacy and 21
11. Willingness to pursue AP training to teach AP math courses.
12. Successful candidate must possess strong inter-personal skills with a proven record of building rapport with culturally diverse students to ensure each child reaches his/her full potential.
13. Good attendance and punctuality are a must to ensure that the duties and responsibilities of the job are performed successfully.

Physical Requirements of Position:
Able to walk up and down stairs
Must be able to push/pull/lift 50 lbs.
