Salary: DETERMINED BY THE 2013-14 SALARY SCHEDULE IN THE MASTER CONTRACT BETWEEN THE DCSD AND THE DEA.

THROUGH A SPECIAL ARRANGMENT WITH DEA FOR THE 2013-14 SCHOOL YEAR ONLY, SELECTED INTERNAL CANDIDATES WILL BE ALLOWED TO RETURN TO THEIR CURRENT POSITION/BUILDING AT THE END OF THE 2013-14 SCHOOL YEAR IF FUNDING FOR THE POSITION ENDS OR IF THEY CHOOSE TO.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Coach, model teaching, observe instruction and provide feedback to teachers



Provide intensive coaching and modeling for new-to-the district and new- to-the grade level teachers



Provide professional development for building level teachers and interventionists



Coach grade level teams to analyze and monitor data and the implementation of appropriate strategies and interventions



Assist district in providing district level professional development for staff



Monitor assessments, analyze data and provide feedback to teachers



Meet with Tier III Team which includes building interventionist, special education teacher and classroom teacher to analyze data and design instruction to meet the needs of students



Attend district math team meetings



Communicates effectively with parents, staff, and students



Support and assist teachers with all district math initiatives



Support and assist district math specialist



Perform other duties as assigned by the superintendent

THROUGH A SPECIAL ARRANGMENT BETWEEN DCSD AND THE DEA, ALL POSITIONS WILL BE FILLED THROUGH THE INTERVIEW PROCESS.

INTERNAL CANDIDATES SHOULD EMAIL A LETTER OF INTENT, RESUME, AND 2 REFERENCE LETTERS--1 FROM A SUPERVISOR AND 1 FROM A COLLEAGUE TO DEB MILLER IN HR.

Strong math background

Excellent attendance

Technologically proficient

Strong data analysis, organizational and leadership skills

Able to work as a team member

Successful candidate must possess strong inter-personal skills with a proven record of building rapport with culturally diverse students and their families to insure that each child reaches his/her full potential.
