Perform Instrumentation Engineering (IE) and analysis for weapons system testing. The field IE will be an integral part of the testing team responsible for collecting, validating, and delivering test data to the Test Engineer (TE) in a timely manner and in accordance with the test plan. Data collection requires hands-on work in the field. The IE will work with other engineers to identify test issues and improve the technical product. Provide technical support in the planning, setup, execution and data analysis for all testing being conducted.
Must have active Secret clearance.
Minimum of 5 years experience.
Knowledge of Windows Operating System including MS Office Software Programs. Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing to a variety of audiences. Knowledge of and ability to apply test and evaluation principles and techniques. Discover, research, propose technologies and approaches for improving current processes or addition new capabilities related to test data acquisition, management, reduction, and analysis. Knowledge and experience, or very motivated to learn, one or more of: Matlab, LabView, VBA, or programming experience in other languages: JAVA C++, C, C#, etc). Experience and/or knowledge of software engineering techniques for requirements gathering and analysis, functional decomposition for system and module design, process diagramming (flowchart, data flow, or other process or program structure), module and integration testing, configuration management and control, etc. Knowledge and/or experience in design, development, and/or deployment of databases, graphical user interfaces, digital signal processing, image analysis and video processing, networks and data communications, statistical modeling and analysis, including design of experiments, or external and embedded data acquisition and control systems.
