Candidate will be responsible for recognizing and retrieving beef, pork, lamb and veal primals for cutting;
Candidate will be responsible for recognizing and retrieving beef, pork, lamb and veal primals for cutting; following a prepared list of cutting assignments and cuts them according to established yields from cutting tests; providing training and instruction as needed for apprentice meat cutters and using standing meat cutting equipment safely and efficiently.
High School education or GED preferred
3 years meat cutting and 1 year portion control experience required. Completion of meat cutting classes desirable.
Able to read and comprehend written instructions and present information on a one-on-one format to other meat cutters and supervisors. Basic math skills and ability to organize a work station and meet deadlines. Candidate will work in cool environment and must be able to consistently lift up to 70 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 100 lbs. of product.
