--Perform maintenance, inspection, repairs, diagnostics on vehicle fleet assets which include electrical, mechanical, pneumatic systems, gas and diesel engines, mobile hydraulic systems utilized on aerial devices, digger derricks, medium/heavy duty trucks, light duty vehicles, forklifts and off road equipment. --Communicate and cooperate in a professional manner with peers, supervision and internal customers to maintain a safe and productive work environment and provide a high level of support to fleet users. --Safely work in a shop location as needed, performing work and maintaining an orderly and environmentally safe work site. ---Safely operate a field service vehicle and travel to various job sites to perform assigned work ---Follow all Entergy safety policies and procedures. ---Prepare required records for all maintenance activities --Direct work of assistants, instruct and train other employees. -- Perform non-critical welding. -Comply with all DOT, DOE, OSHA regulations and directives

Qualifications

Required Qualifications: --High School Diploma or GED Equivalent --3-5 yrs. hands on experience maintaining hydraulic, mechanical, electrical systems on mobile hydraulic and medium/heavy duty trucks, or combination of work and Vocational Technical training --Must have Commercial Driver's License or be able to obtain within 6 months. --Ability to use physical strength to perform required tasks in all weather conditions. --Ability to use a personal computer and knowledge of popular software like Microsoft Office. --Ability to interpret electrical and hydraulic schematic drawings of mechanical equipment. --Self-motivated and dependable team player --Strong interpersonal and communications skills --Ability to work irregular hours and out of town assignments as required. --Ability to take and understand directives, and complete tasks with limited supervision. --Ability to plan and lay out all work in a safe and efficient manner. --Ability to recognize hazards in the workplace and have the ability to mitigate the hazards. --Ability to maintain and care for Company equipment properly and safeguard assets. --Ability to meet the public in a pleasant and tactful manner and understand the importance of delivering a high level of customer service. --Ability to recognize opportunities for process improvement. --Demonstrated acceptance of a diverse and inclusive work environment and customer base -- Must be willing to work extended hours and at times may be subject to an alternate reporting location and storm travel outside of Entergy territory. --Must live within 30 miles of reporting location or be willing to relocate. --Completion of the necessary safety training modules within 3 months of employment. Desired Qualifications:

--Welding and Fabrication --ASE Certification in various repair categories --Fluid Power Certification --DOT medical certification -Vocational Technical training --Ability to use OEM website and software tools to troubleshoot vehicle issues.

Company Testing

Successful completion of the EEI CAST test.

Additional Responsibilities

As a provider of essential services, Entergy expects its employees to be available to work additional hours, to work in alternate locations, and/or to perform additional duties in connection with storms, outages, emergencies, or other situations as deemed necessary by the company.

Exempt employees may not be paid overtime associated with such duties.
