Job Description for Mechanical Engineering Intern:
Assist in the Bose ElectroForce Engineering Group focusing on research, concepting, developing and testing sensor solutions for improved measurement of Force and/or Motion. A primary task will be Identifying and evaluating 3rd party solutions to solve current or future challenges. This will likely require mechanical design for integration and comprehensive experimentation to evaluate performance. You will collaborate with other engineers, design and execute tests, analyze and document your results and present those results and conclusions.
•Understanding of instrumentation principles, specifically measurements such as Force, Displacement and Rotation.
•Basic mechanical design and integration
•Basic wiring and understanding of electrical circuits
•Excellent organization, communication and presentation skills
•Experimentation including initiative to identify hypotheses and pursue answers through testing
•Basic SolidWorks experience is desirable, but not required.
