The Mechanical CAD Drafter will be responsible for creating and modifying CAD models and drawings using SolidWorks Computer Aided Design. The ideal candidate must be a self-starter. An individual that can take a hand sketch idea, run with it and ultimately come back with design recommendations. The ideal candidate would have experience with conducting simulations, creating large assemblies and utilizing sheet metal within SolidWorks.

Responsibilities include:

Thorough understanding of SolidWorks and all other pertinent software used in Engineering

Creates CAD drawings for all engineering tasks

ECO old drawings along with completing all associated paperwork pertaining to said drawing

Responsible for fundamental designs of mechanical components

Answers questions from customers, vendors and redirects to the appropriate individual when necessary

Will assist in developing drawings, assemblies, and layouts in a team-orientated atmosphere

May assemble proto-type components to ensure manufacturability

Performs other related duties, as assigned

Assigned to projects as needed

Experience with CadKey and AutoCAD a plus
Experience/Education/Certification Requirements:

Associates Degree in Mechanical Drafting

1-5 Years experience
