Perform assignments designed to develop professional working knowledge and abilities, requiring application of advanced new technologies
Assist in the preparation of deliverables and products such as presentation materials, calculations, drawings, specifications, and cost estimates related to heating, ventilating, and air-conditioning (HVAC) systems for commercial and governmental facilities
Perform field investigation for incorporation of existing conditions into construction documents
Perform construction administration duties, such as shop drawing review, RFI response, construction inspection, and respond to client questions
Work within a project team environment and possess good presentation and client interface skills
Coordinate work with other project disciplines
Work independently and make technical mechanical decisions based on building code interpretation and company standard practice
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited program
Two or more years experience with an engineering firm designing HVAC and plumbing commercial and institutional facilities
Understanding and knowledge of the architectural and engineering industry, including the Federal, State, and local laws and regulations that pertain to the industry
Experience using AutoCAD 2008 or more recent.
Experience with BIM software desired
Strong oral and written communication skills
Engineer-in-Training or Intern Engineer certification recognized by a state licensing board
Physically able to climb ladders and enter utility manholes, tunnels, and other mechanical equipment spaces
