Zachry Industrial, Inc. is currently seeking to fill two Mechanical Engineer positions to be based out of Borger, TX. This job opportunity is a 3-6 month contract position.

The Mechanical Engineers must have hands on experience in fixed & rotating equipment, including compressors, pumps, extruders, and other plant related equipment. They must respond to troubleshoot and resolve day to day equipment related problems in the plant and develop action plans to comply with Production demands for safety & reliability. The Mechanical Engineers will support small-medium capital projects including providing scope of work and justifications, and will provide counseling and consulting on a variety of process and equipment issues, including detailed calculations in order to make cost effective decisions and recommendations. Finally, the Mechanical Engineer will provide cost controls and budget development. Other responsibilities include:

Ensure procedures and guidelines for the Maintenance Organization are being followed.
Participate and/or lead in Root Cause Investigations.
Perform equipment failure analysis.
Support and participate in the Reliability Improvement Program.
Support Maintenance Workflow Process (MWP).
Provide documentation and technical guidance for repairs to equipment.
Oversee repairs of equipment in the field.
Coordinate turnaround activities.
Provide daily technical support to the plant.
Provide engineering and/or supervisor assistance to crafts and/or contractors during routine and turnaround activities.
Ensure proper spare parts are set up in the warehouse.
Identify work process improvements.
Support PSM activities.
Support Reliability Walkthrough with Operations.
Be a safety champion and agent of change.
Effectively manage multiple projects concurrently.

Job Requirements

Required Skills, Education and, Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 10 or more years of experience in a petrochemical facility.
Excellent verbal and writing skills along with computer skills including Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.
Interpersonal skills to function with a team group and interact with differing levels of the organization.
Must be a self-starter and have high standards.
