This need is for a Mechanical Engineer in the CT group to focus on EM Packaging, the qualified candidate will need to have experience with tight tolerance assemblies, Mechanical EM Packaging experience, Machined parts, High Precision Aluminum. A BSME and 5-8 years of current/recent experience, experienced with NPI processes, prefer candidates with knowledge of Pro/E Wildfire or Creo.

Qualifications/Requirements:
High Importance
  • Experience with new product development of mechanical assemblies throughout the life cycle, including design, testing, release and transfer to manufacturing
  • Experience creating engineering documents including drawings, test specifications, design verification plans, process/work instructions and purchase specifications
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude, intuition and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written & verbal communications skills
  • Leadership - self starter
  • BSME preferred, minimum associate degree in Mechanical Technology (2 year degree)
  • Experience with Creo (Pro/E) MCAD (preferred) or equivalent
Medium Importance
  • Demonstrated rigor in conducting tests and ability to draw accurate conclusions from results
  • Experience with drawing GD&T standards
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask in a fast paced cross-functional team environment
  • Experience with mechanical packaging of electronics
  • Experience with thermal control systems
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include design, development and testing of parts & assemblies. Demonstrate and document results that demonstrate that the designs meet all requirements for performance, reliability and manufacturability. Own and deliver design control documentation throughout the product life cycle including drawings, test plans, verification results, and manufacturing/purchasing specifications. Required technical skills include a good understanding of engineering fundamentals, creativity in design solutions, and "hands-on" abilities. Additional desirable qualities include effectiveness in a cross-functional team and working with manufacturing & suppliers teams.
