The Mechanical Engineer will provide direction and assistance to work group in order to meet assigned objectives. In this role you will work within defined parameters to make decisions, apply concepts to issues of moderate complexity, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning. In this role, you will:
Generate project documentation including equipment arrangement drawings, skid and platform layouts, and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID)
Research and analyzes data such as customer design proposal, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application
Design products or systems that include instruments, controls, engines, and/or machines
Direct and coordinate fabrication and installation activities to ensure products and systems conform to engineering design and customer specifications
Coordinate operation, maintenance, and repair activities to obtain optimum utilization of machines and equipment
Design products and systems to interface machines, hardware, and software
Evaluate field installations and recommends design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering or Engineering Technology from an accredited university or college
Minimum of 3 years of related engineering experience
Ability and willingness to travel as required

Ability to work in an industrial environment
Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and contract documents
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community
Ability to document technical information
Elective college courses in thermodynamics, heat transfer, drafting, CAD or manufacturing disciplines are desired
Strong problem solving skills preferred
Ability to write specifications, procedures, and manuals that conform to prescribed style and format
Ability to effectively present information to project and functional management and to customers, subcontractors, and suppliers
Ability to synthesize information from different engineering disciplines
Strong organizational, communication and PC skills
