This position provides maintenance engineering support to refinery. Oversees effective management of maintenance programs for refinery .
Maintains equipment records ensuring accuracy and completeness of technical information e.g. specifications, manuals, calculations.
Coordinates with craft shops and reliability engineering on design and implementation of improvements to reduce recurring repairs through tooling, training and/or work process modifications. Collaborates with reliability engineering on design and implementation of preventive maintenance plans to ensure equipment integrity.
Compiles and reports performance metrics for maintenance department. Tracks progress on action items such as Management of Change (MOCs), Process Hazard Analysis (PHA). Ensures action taken on outstanding items.
Participates in incident investigations for root cause determination. Develops actionable recommendations to address issues and prevent recurrence. Provides engineering support to facilitate implementation.
Manages maintenance expense projects as designated in timely, safe and cost-effective manner. Coordinates maintenance interface on capital work. Works with Technical department on transition from projects to Maintenance.
Provides engineering support to craft shops to ensure work orders are completed accurately and efficiently. Reviews and approves material purchases requested by Maintenance Planners.
Education and Experience:
Minimum undergraduate engineering degree.
No experience required.
Must be able to obtain or currently hold a valid Transportation Workers Identification Card (TWIC).
