Mechanical Receiving Inspector
Core Experience and Character Traits:
Preferred Experience: 3-5 years experience as a mechanical inspector with working knowledge of manual inspection using hand tools such as (Micrometers, Caliperts, Height Gages, Pins, and Go/No-Go gages
Preferred ability to read and interpret mechanical part drawing inspection requirements and perform inspections required to determine acceptance status of the parts being inspected.
Preferred ability to efficiently and effectively perform mechanical inspection duties.
Must exhibit good communication skills in written and verbal form in english.
Must be self motivated with the personal drive to excel at their job.
Must have a good working knowledge computer applications, MS Windows, Word/Excel, E-Mail.
Must be able to work on their feet and/or seated for extended periods of time (6-8 hours per day and lift 30-50lb boxes reapeatedly)
Must be solution focused
Core Job Requirements:
Follow instructions in the development and implementation of InspectionXpert and ProLink software including the creation of Inspection Bubble Drawings and Specification plans.
Follow documented Mechanical Inspection process instructions.
Verify Mechanical parts meet inspection plan/drawing requirements.
Document and Communicate reason for part rejection through following the MRB process.
Process Shortage and Urgent parts ahead of other workload.
Update computer systems with inspection information and outcome (acceptance and/or rejection details).
Expedite shortages and hot items within Mechanical Inspection.
Move accepted inspected material as needed to Mech stock.
Perform other duties as defined by department management.
