The Mechanical Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and providing direction to mechanical prep personnel.
Supervise hourly mechanical prep personnel
Prioritize workload for the day and schedule personnel accordingly
Communicate with Terminal Manager, outside contractors, vendors, etc.
Order parts for loading ramps, company vehicles, and other areas where needed
Maintain shop area and maintenance building
Any duties as assigned
Supervise activities of mechanical prep personnel engaged in maintaining and repairing equipment, vehicles, buildings and grounds.
Minimum Tools Needed
Computer, office supplies, company-supplied cell phone, PPE equipment
Working Conditions :
Work is performed indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
High school diploma or equivalent
College prep or Technical Institute (welding, mechanic, etc)
5 years minimum supervisory experience
Ability to read and write English
Ability to drive both an automatic and manual transmission vehicles
Valid State Driver’s license
Ability to work at a height approximately 15 feet above the ground
Ability to pass Safe driving quiz with 80% or better
Certifications in the areas of:
Brakes & Suspensions
Drive line systems
Electrical accessories and ignition systems
Successful candidates must pass an extensive background check, drug screen done by hair testing and a physical.
Salary range between $40,000 and $50,000 annual, depending on experience.
