The Mechanical Technician will maintain and repair equipment throughout all facilities and at all GWI locations. Continuously focuses on quality, customer relations, and performance. Demonstrating behavior consistent with Goodwill Industries Historic Values, Basic Principles and Standards Conduct.
•Skilled in the maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment including, but not limited to conveyor systems, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, motors and pumps, and mechanical power transmission applications.
•Competency with preventive maintenance procedures and ability to recommend changes that add value to operations.
•Knowledge of PLC systems/applications – reading ladder logic diagrams to diagnose equipment operations preferred.
•Valid driver’s license and good driving record
•Write, create, and perform preventative maintenance on Goodwill Equipment
•Ensure all work is compliant with all state and local municipality requirements and all applicable building codes
•Communicates with maintenance management, retail store management, service contractors, and others to coordinate mechanical equipment operations and repair activities.
•Dedicated to customer satisfaction
•Other duties as assigned.
Journeyman license (certified completion of 4 year apprentice program) in the mechanical trades or millwright trades is highly preferred.
Base range: $20-$25 hourly pay rate
