We are looking for a Planning Supervisor to work on one of our biggest entertainment account. You'll be working with some of the biggest names in entertainment so prior entertainment client experience is a MUST . You will be responsible for successfully managing the Planning team, defining team strategy and long term goals, managing team development and processes and overseeing client strategies and relationships. We are flexible on office location (CT or NYC).

With your 4+ years of media strategic planning experience at an agency, you will contribute to the overall vision and education of the department and have a firm grasp of both strategic and functional media knowledge. Tune In knowledge is ideal as well as s trong experience / familiarity with media research resources and capabilities.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

Strategic Capabilities:

§ Oversee development of program strategies and analyses for clients (i.e. target audience recommendations, timing / scheduling strategy, etc.)

§ Responsible for management of assigned accounts within the Planning department; typically this includes the management of industry / category knowledge, media planning recommendations, negotiations / implementations and analysis

§ Well versed in broadcast, print, OOH, radio and new media

§ Key contributor to strategic initiatives

§ Articulates departmental view on media strategy tactics and execution

§ Ensures that strategies align with client objectives

§ Interpret results and ensure dialogue with client and internal team to optimize future objectives

Client Service:

§ Maintain client contact to provide guidance in plan executions and identify issues

§ Serve as day-to-day contact with Manager and Coordinator level clients

§ Manages client expectations about upcoming presentations and deliverables

§ Assume ownership of client questions and issues related to all media


§ Manage and serve as resource for planning team of Planners and Coordinators, which includes but is not limited to supervising employee performance and time management

§ Work closely with account teams to ensure media plans are strategically aligned with other media elements as they relate to client needs

§ Control and track budgets per campaign / client

§ Maintain substantial role in management of department resources across accounts


§ Bachelor Degree preferred

§ 4+ years of management experience required

§ In-depth understanding of media planning, strategy, negotiation, implementation and performance analysis

§ Strong command of media research resources and capabilities

§ Familiarity with Strata Broadcast Systems preferred

§ Computer skills required: Word, Excel, PowerPoint

§ Excellent communication, time management and problem solving skills

§ Ability to mentor junior staff and to train them in preparing, evaluating and implementing media plans and projects and delivering exceptional client service
