Tully Rinckey PLLC, a successful full-service law firm with offices throughout New York State and metropolitan Washington, DC, is seeking a Media Relations Intern to join our Syracuse team. Responsibilities:
The primary focus of the Media Relations Intern will be the development of a fully functional, unique, and engaging online newsroom for the Tully Rinckey PLLC website. The online newsroom will catalog the background and experience of the Tully Rinckey PLLC legal team as well as the media placements that have featured each. The online newsroom will make fact finding efforts for members of the news media more streamlined and efficient while positioning Tully Rinckey PLLC attorneys as thought leaders across a range of legal disciplines.

Duties include:

  • Collaborating with the marketing team to produce a development plan for the online newsroom and effectively deploying said plan.
  • Working with the marketing team and attorneys to generate engaging and concise content for the project.
  • Actively managing the content housed within the online newsroom so that it is always fully functional, organized, easily searchable, and search engine optimized.
  • Constantly updating online newsroom content to best position Tully Rinckey PLLC attorneys as sources for trending applicable national and regional news stories.
  • Proposing and executing novel initiatives to constantly enhance the online newsroom.
  • Other media relations duties as assigned.


  • Qualifications:
  • Experience building comprehensive, engaging websites in collaboration with outside clients or organizations.
  • High level skills with a range of content management systems and new media production software.
  • Experience working with website development vendors preferred.
  • Candidate must have exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be proficient using Microsoft Office suite.
  • Attention to detail, ability to work individually, and multi task in a fast paced environment as well as work in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational skills, a high attention to detail, and a creative approach to projects.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to prioritize and deliver results in a fast paced environment.
