Redfin's mission is to reinvent real estate in the consumer's favor, and we’re building a world-class public relations team to tell our story. Newspapers, websites and broadcast media cover the housing market every day, and Redfin has the goods to be the go-to, authoritative real estate source. The company is seeking a media relations and social media expert to focus exclusively on the Seattle market. This person would go deep into Seattle-specific media outlets, blog, community forums and the like to build awareness of Redfin’s services and benefits to consumers. We are looking for someone ambitious and driven, who can secure massive amounts of local media coverage and build Redfin’s Seattle-based following, as well become a real estate expert in no time.
Three to five years of PR and social media experience.
Real estate, economics, technology or other data-driven experience a plus.

Build awareness of Redfin in Seattle through traditional and social media activities.
Partner with the Seattle-based real estate team to identify trends, gather stories, tie Redfin to local communities throughout the city.
Determine ways for Redfin to comment on Seattle news from a real estate or housing market perspective.
Establish and own relationships with targeted journalists, bloggers and social media influencers.
Create and manage media opportunities for Redfin’s real estate operations professionals, including media preparation and follow-up.
Research and establish community and business partnership opportunities for Redfin throughout Seattle.
