As part of our continued growth, we are currently seeking to add a Medical Assistant to join our Urgent Care nursing team. This immediate opportunity will be responsible for performing patient-oriented procedures under the supervision of a clinician, Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Care Team Supervisor (CTS) to ensure safe and appropriate care.
Qualified candidates will have high school diploma from recognized school or G.E.D., graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program, 1-2 years clinical experience (injections/vaccines, EKG's, nebulizer treatments, etc) including minimum one year of Pediatrics experience (immunization schedules, knowledge with VFC-CAIRS-CHDP); current CPR certification required. Computer literate (i.e. logging on to computer, usage of keyboard and mouse, familiarity with Windows and email applications), ability to type 40 wpm, team player, excellent verbal and written communication skills, excellent team player. Bilingual English/Spanish required. EMR (EPIC) knowledge a plus!
