You will perform selected patient care duties such as collecting and managing patient clinical information, including history, medication and vital signs, updating the patient Electric Health Record (EHR), performing patient education, and assisting with or performing various cardiology procedures associated with pacer checks, EKGs, Holter Monitors, Event Monitors and stress testing. Other duties include computerized appointment scheduling and preparing exam rooms.
Desired Skills & Experience
Requires a HS diploma/GED, healthcare experience (i.e. hospital, medical clinic or physician practice), and training from an accredited Medical Assistants program or on-the-job training as a Medical Assistant. Requires knowledge of cardiac medications, medical equipment and instruments, clear communication skills and basic CPR skills. AAMA certification is desirable.
