The part-time Medical Director will provide guidance and teaching support for the Physician Assistant program and facilitate area physician knowledge, understanding and support of PA education and practice and the UB MS-PA program. Part-time hours reflect a flexible 21 hour weekly schedule, 2-3 days.
Assist in resource development in concert with the Academic Director.
Coordinate, teach, and /or evaluate instruction in clinical medicine and core/professional courses as assigned by the Chair.
Assist in resource development, coordinate, teach, and provide feedback on assigned clinical clerkships/preceptorships.
Participate in junior and senior clinical skills practicum.
Participate in the development and ongoing revision of preclinical and clinical learning objectives and examinations.
Participate in the development of new program courses.
Facilitate communication between the program and the medical community.
Participate in student selection as a member of the PA Program Admission Committee.
Work with the program director to insure that the ARC-PA Standards and CT program requirements are met.
Attend program meeting and UB faculty meetings (as required).
Serve on UB Health Sciences and University committees as assigned by program director.
Participate in UB events (i.e. graduations, faculty development, etc) as required.
Other responsibilities as may be assigned by Program Director.
Currently licensed as a physician in the State of Connecticut
Board certified or eligible for board certification
