Full-time 180 days per semester plus up to 40 days supplemental contract that requires both teaching and management responsibilities.

This position is responsible for the administration of the Medical Instrument Sterilization Program including management of the curriculum,student and program outcomes and data collection, enrollment, advising and admissions of degree and certificate students. The Program Coordinator is responsible for student recruitment, application, admissions and retention. Further responsibilities include scheduling, hiring adjunct faculty and assisting with maintaining the program budget.The Program Coordinator works in collaboration with the Clinical Coordinator to recruit, manage, and maintain off site clinicl affiliations/articulations and student experiences.The Program Coordinator will be required to maintain a teaching workload of 10-12 contact hours and 10 office hours per week per semester. Additionally, this position participates in activities which support and enhance the student learning environment and faculty professional development, and fulfill the mission, the vision, and the strategic plan of the College.

Education Requirements:
Minimum of Associate’s degree in medical instrument sterilization, surgical technology, or nursing. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Experience/Qualifications Requirements:
Minimum of one year of experience in central service processing or operating room. Prior clinical or classroom experience preferred.

Licensure or Certification Requirements:
Must be Certified Central Sterile Processing and Distributing Technician or be willing to obtain certification within one year of hiring.

Preferred Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree. Prior clinical or classroom experience.
