DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a full-time (40 hours per week) Medical Lab Technician to performs routine laboratory analysis and Quality Control testing. This position also assists in operations of the laboratory by being responsible for specialized assignments of functions and is capable of above average judgements and technical skills.

This position will be located in our new clinic in Lindstrom, MN. The position will have daytime hours Monday - Friday with the possibility of some weekend hours.

DUTIES

1. Performs lab tests following department policies and procedures to ensure equal care and service to neonatal, child, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
2. Performs quality control checks.
3. Performs and documents preventive maintenance on equipment.
4. Participates in continuing education efforts.
5. Performs special tasks as assigned.
6. Promotes an environment of teamwork, customer service and positive communication.
7. Participates in the department's quality improvement projects.
8. Participates in the department's infection control activities.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION (MLT)
  • Graduate of a school qualified in teaching Medical Technicians
  • Registered and/or certified CLA (ASCP), RMT, AMT, MLT, HEW, NCA one or more.
EXPERIENCE
  • Preferably 1-2 years.
  • None necessary.

  • Provide services and maintain appropriate knowledge of testing results.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Continuous: Standing/Balancing
