Greets and directs patients, salespeople, and visitors in a pleasant and professional manner.Triages calls from patients to ensure appropriate scheduling or call transfer.Records appointment details in practice management system including all demographic and insurance information.Cancels and reschedules appointments as necessary and follows-up on no shows.Obtains insurance authorization and verifies eligibility for upcoming appointments.Enters charge information in the computer including services, materials, adjustments, diagnoses, insurance and authorizations.Able to assist in optical salesReceives payments for services and records them in computer.Provides a computer-generated statement to all patients upon check-out.Follows HIPAA guidelines when processing medical records requests.Shares current promotional information with customers.Makes referral appointments as requested.Reviews, copies, and distributes correspondence.Ensures waiting areas are clean and tidy.Maintains proper opening and closing procedures.Assists in other office needs.Job Requirements:
Education/Experience- High School Diploma or equivalent.Computer Skills.Customer Service Skills.**We are a drug free work place.
