- Prepares patients and assists physician in assessment and examinations of patient including assessment of patient safety needs as needed- Assists physician in performance of diagnostic procedures, treatments, administers medications, and performs related tasks as directed.
- Documents entries into medical record according to established policies and procedures. - Initiates communications to patients according to individualized needs of the patient as prescribed by the physician, including instructions, planning, and triaging with full consideration of patient safety needs. - Performs disinfecting procedures. - Cleans and maintains examination rooms and other assigned areas. - Documents safety and effectiveness of patient care equipment into logs. - Adheres to the American Nurses Association Code of Ethics. - Participates in performance improvement and quality improvement activities. - Recognizes, supports, and utilizes evidence based nursing practices. - Maintains all security and safety logs in clinical area - Attend and/or participate in all Clinical Coordinators Meetings - Stay abreast of all clinical changes/updates as directed by UNCPN and notify clincal staff accordingly - Prepare Clincial Supply orders (medications/clinical supplies) and make sure that par levels are kept up to date as needed - Triaging patient phone calls and walk-in's as necessary

Growing 3 provider practice in Fuquay-Varina seeks a full-time Registered Nurse to join the clinical team.

Job Qualifications:

Education
Diploma, Associate Degree (A.A.) or Bachelor's Degree (BSN) from an accredited School of Nursing. Prefer minimum of 3 years previous medical office experience. Special Skills
Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze and interpret clinical information and technical procedures. Ability to document clinical information. Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions from patients, physicians, family members, and other UNCPN staff. Mathematical Skills: Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions.
