Under the direction of the Director of Patient Care Services, answers and screens all telephone calls. Takes/ documents messages as required regarding illness, prescription refills, lab, radiology, imaging reports, test results, referrals, etc. making and editing appointments via computer and organizes provider's correspondence. Screen telephone calls in a professional manner, documenting and processing messages accordingly. Accommodates patient appointments, and maintains, updates and tracks provider schedule. Registers all new patients. High School Diploma or equivalent. Medical secretarial school education preferred. Computer literacy and typing skills required. Medical terminology knowledge, familiarity with IDX and /or MediTech software systems preferred. Previous experience preferred.
