This position is responsible for maintaining, filing, disbursing, and quality controlling patient and corporate medical charts. In addition to the previous mentioned duties this position is responsible for disbursing medical clearances to corporate clients in a timely and accurate manner. The successful candidate must be able to multitask, organized, self motivated and able to work with Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
Essential Job Functions:
This is a Corporate Client/ Patient support orientated position. The successful candidate is a detail-oriented, self-motivated; individual who is able to multi-task in a high volume, fast paced clinical environment. The employee is responsible for ensuring all occupational health clients and family practice patients are receiving the proper medical forms required and discerning requirements for all services performed. This position requires excellent computer skills, to include, Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Office,), Adobe, and ensures patient charts are properly entered in to the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) Systoc the program Beacon uses. The candidate is responsible for properly filing, and creating charts, pulling charts from files as requested, holding files while waiting for all the forms to be retrieved, and assisting providers with various patient file needs. The candidate must be able to manage general office duties such as answering multi line phones while coordinating telephonic communications. An extensive knowledge of medical terminology and understanding of human anatomy and physiology is important to abstract information in order to respond to a variety of requests and patient questions as needed. Applicant will routinely process requests for patient medical information (PHI) from patients for authorized representatives such as clients, as well as third party administrators such as workman compensation collections and law firms. Applicant will be expected to manage and learn HIPAA policies and procedures to PHI. This is a 40/hr week position.

Job Requirements - Education and Training:
High school education required.
Some familiarity with basic Microsoft programs required.
Experience with Electronic Medical Records preferred
RHIA (Registered Health Information) Certified preferred
HIPAA certified and trained-preferred
Proficient in Office Suite products and Adobe

This position is a 40-hour week, M-F position
One hour lunch daily
