The Medical Records Assistant (MRA) will assist with clinical documentation (hard copy and electronic) to maintain compliance with technical, clinical, and recertification documentation standards in the hospice industry. The MRA also supports the medical records department performing routine medical records duties as time allows.
Minimum of one year experience in medical records preferred; background in hospice preferred.
High School graduate or equivalency test required. Associates degree highly preferred.
Must be highly motivated, energetic and work interdependently. Requires basic time management and organizational skills, strong interpersonal relationship skills, and must be supportive of organizational philosophy/policies.
Must possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Must possess highly refined interpersonal skills and understand and embody the elements of excellent customer service. Must have the ability to work collaboratively with others. Must be able to effectively establish relationships and maintain rapport with fellow staff and management.
