High School/GED
  • Must be able to work well without supervision Attention to detail a must Ability to work in a fast paced environment with frequent interruptions Must have good organizational skills and ability to multi-task Excellent communication skills in spoken and written work, interpersonal and conflict resolution Ability & willingness to learn quickly as technology and/or state regulations change General office background, medical records experience preferred Medical terminology helpful Must be proficient in computer skills, Excel and Access experience preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required. This position assumes responsibility for monitoring and complying with state and hospital policies as it pertains to medical records; locating and preparing patient records for daily appointments, obtaining outside records/films as requested; filing of patient records and loosework; processing release of information requests; handling confidential information and maintaining organization of the file room. This position also performs daily mail/chart rounds and other duties as assigned.
