40 Hr Med Tech ASCP position on 1st shift with variable start times. Performs a variety of complex laboratory tests and procedures on neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients according to established standards: maintains and/or calibrates scientific equipment. Provides teaching and education to lab students and other personnel. Position may require working at any location of the System.
Requirements MT ASCP or equivalent with 1- 3 yrs of experience as a generalist.
Exhibits strong interpersonal skill; technically competent. Ability to adequately use, or learn to use, the department’s computerized system and its associated devices. Adaptability and flexibility necessary for work schedule and patient care requirements. Good command of the English language and medical terminology..
Must be familiar with Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation, Urinalysis. Knowledge of Blood Bank a plus.
Monday through Friday; weekend and holiday rotation
