2 Years of Experience Required
The Medical Transcriptionist: Provides high-quality, timely, and efficient transcription of medical-imaging reports dictated by the radiologists. Provides telephone reports/faxed reports to referring physicians when necessary. Assists with answering of telephones within the department. Maintains a liaison role with HIS, staying abreast of current computer updates to the radiology system and Magic Office. Maintains communication with outside transcription services. Observes Fusion system for lost dictations or other errors.
: High-school graduate or equivalent.
: 2-3 years of experience in medical transcription; radiology transcription preferred.
: Accurate skills in medical transcription. Proficient knowledge of medical terminology. Ability to work in a busy office environment. Excellent interpersonal skills. Effective verbal and written skills. Excellent organizational skills.
Sit: Up to 8 hours/day
Stand/Walk: 3-6 hours
