Medicare Ops Analyst

This position summary is for an Analyst level individual to partner with Mediare Operations Training staff and subject matter experts to develop, document and maintain departmental work instructions, policies and procedures. The Analyst would be primarily responsible for focusing on Enrollment and Member Services for CVS/Caremark's Medicare Part D prescription drug program and CVS/Caremark's enrollment services offering.

Working independently, the writer will primarily be responsible to create formal work instructions that spell out departmental and employee accountabilities, policies, procedures and any other related best practices pertaining to Member Services and Medicare Operations. Additionally, there will be a focus on developing and documenting work instructions relating to enrollment integration activities (system, process integration and alignment)

This position will require to partner cross functionally with various deparments within Medicare Part D to ensure the documentation is compliant, accurate and maintain on a mothly, quarterly and yearly basis. This postion would require the managing of approximately 80 or more work instructions as well as policy and procedures. This documentation development and maintenance will be for system enhancements and changes for the end users as well as process design and development within the departments.

This postion also has an emphasis on document format to ensure consistency and version control for all work instructions and Policy and Procedures.

Partner cross functionally to determine specific or general subject material to be developed. Applies and maintains up-to-date storage ready web based materials for website deployment.

Organizes material and performs writing assignments according to specifications regarding clarity, conciseness, style and terminology. Writes technical descriptions using knowledge of CMS Guidance, and operating procedures. Reviews published materials and recommend revisions or changes in scope, format, content, and methods.

Monthly, quarterly and yearly WI and P&P reviews. Ensure accuracy and version control.

Audit support (Medicare, clients and internal reviews), document preparation and packaging for CMS and client review.

Conducts interviews with internal partners to ensure regulatory requirements and correct content, observes process to determine steps that need to be documented, updated and streamlined.

Bachelors degree preferred, or equivalent work experience

3 years minimum of professional experience, with and emphasis on documentation development and dissemination. Experience in developing work instructions and or policies and procedure in a highly regulated industry.
Extremely detail oriented
Experience developing WI's and P&P's for a highly regulated industry
Experience with Medicare Part D CMS guidance
Experience in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment and the ability to quickly discern, interpret and adapt to new information
Strong organizational and communication skills; a self starter
Experience and proven use with: excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Word, Access
