Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain a current in-depth knowledge of credit union services and policies.
Answer member telephone inquiries and provide information concerning credit union services and programs.
Receive and post, or accurately record and forward for processing, member account transactions and research requests.
Cross sell credit union services.
Perform assigned authority level responsibilities.
Perform other duties as assigned. Qualification Requirements:
Education - High school graduate or equivalent.
Experience Required - Not Applicable
Skills - Six months prior experience in a service related position with this credit union with direct member contact preferred. One year similar experience in a service related field acceptable. Must have a pleasant telephone voice; demonstrate a mastery of English speaking and comprehension skills; utilize sound listening skills; and communicate clearly. Familiarity with on-line data operations and accepting of minimal mobility from work station. Basic typing and 10-key touch calculator skills required. Ability to perform multiple functions simultaneously.
Tenure - Member Service Center Specialist II, Category 15, requires six consecutive months tenure in the Member Service Center Specialist I position with performance that meets or exceeds expectations. Member Service Center Specialist III, Category 14, requires six months tenure in the Member Service Center Specialist II position with performance that meets or exceeds expectations. Directly related work experience and/or accelerated training completion may be substituted for tenure.
