Member Service Assistant Member Service Assistant Summary :HEW Federal Credit Union is a dynamic, mid-sized, credit union in the Washington, DC area. We are seeking a Member Service Assistant with EXPERIENCE IN CREDIT UNIONS OR BANKING FIELD. The chosen candidates primarily responsibility will be to help build and retain membership by providing exceptional customer service in response to inquiries in person, by phone, email, or mail. The individual will follow established procedures to handle a broad variety of member issues including, but not limited to, account maintenance, research and problem resolution. Responsibilities of Member Service Assistant Includes• Demonstrating excellent customer service • Cross-selling Credit Union products and services • Opening new Accounts and reviewing all member applications for accuracy and compliance to Credit Union Policies • Processing member account requests (Researching and resolving member problems) • Conducting initial interviews with members regarding loan applications; submitting loan applications for review; and working up and disbursing loans to members. • Escorting Requirements Member Service Assistant Requirements for Member Service Assistant:• Advanced written and communication skills. • Energetic solutions oriented individual with the ability to multi-task. • Ability and leadership to cross-service and ask members questions that lead to the enhancement of their financial well-being. • Acts as principle contact representative for Credit Union members in receiving and answering inquires related to Credit Union products and services whether in-person, phone or via e-mail. • Conducts initial interviews on loans inquires. • Prepares and reviews applications for accuracy and compliance of policies and procedures. • Basic knowledge of IRA products and services a plus. • Be able to work in a fast work environment, multi-task, meet deadlines, and pay attention to detail. • Escorting
