Understand the needs of our current and
prospective customers. Produce a Product Definition document. Work
closely with design, business management and customer throughout the
product development process to ensure development remains on track.
Evaluate products in the lab. Provide technical support to Tier 1
customers to design in Maxim power management products. Meet with
customers one week per quarter. Communicate with the team to ensure
that everyone is fully informed. Work with Business Management and
Design to assure we have both a solid business case, as well as a
sound technical solution. Research competitive solutions and devise
better ones. Creatively solve customer problems. Author preliminary
“paper tiger” data sheets. Create compelling targeted
customer presentations. Support the Field team with the latest
data and presentation material.
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in
Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or closely related
field of study plus 4 years of experience in the job offered or
closely related occupation. In lieu of BS+4, Employer will accept a
Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical
Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or closely related field of
study plus 2 years of experience in the job offered or closely
related occupation. Employer will accept any suitable combination of
education, experience, or training.
Experience and knowledge with the following: Power
Management ICs for handheld applications including cellular phones,
Smart Phones, and other portable consumer equipment; Proposing and
defining Power management IC products; Various regulator
architectures; Using lab equipment to debug and evaluate power
management products; Understand the customers’ problems and
needs, and propose a solution; and Work within a cross-functional
