Please attach a resume to your online application.The Membership Representative will rotate between duties within the Membership department. Primary duties will include responding to guest surveys and concerns, assisting in departmental training, and member service cashiering, on occasion. Please note that this position will be required to work weekends and holidays throughout the year.RESPONSIBILITIES: *Respond to all membership surveys via email to ensure satisfaction from members*Answer member questions and assist members with questions, comments and concerns*Contact new members by phone to welcome to the membership program*Greet and interact with members through the zoo to obtain feedback of their visit and overall membership experience*Update and make changes to member accounts*Maintain customer service standards according to established guidelines.*Assist with ongoing development and presentation of internal and external departmental training*Collect cash or other payment from guests, determining amount due and change required and records payments, balances register while working in the member services window*Perform routine accounting and money handling tasks related to receiving, recording and depositing customer payments and fees*Operate computer and other office equipment in an efficient and effective manner, verifies vouchers, forms and documents for computational errors*Assist the Membership department with special events as requested. *Provides exceptional internal and external customer service*Must be available to work any weekends and holidays*Performs other duties as requestedJOB REQUIREMENTS: -Three years of experience in and customer service within a high volume operation with heavy customer contact is desired.-Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook)-High school diploma or GED is required-Good math and counting skills. -Excellent communication skills (verbal/written) and strong typing skills are required.-Excellent phone etiquette required.SUPERVISION: Reports directly to Member Services Manager PHYSICAL EFFORT: The position requires moderate physical effort at times, such as walking, bending, stooping and standing for long periods in varying weather conditions. When in the member services booth this position must maintain their stations at their booths for extended periods and engage in rapid and repetitive hand motions. Requires excellent hand/eye co-ordination, ability to count out change and bills, rapidly, and ability to work for long periods at a computer keyboard, clear speech, and good audio skills. WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment is generally comfortable and is in a typical office setting. At times, this position requires sitting or standing for long periods in a small, enclosed booth or outdoors, even in poor weather conditions. At times, this position will also include walking through the zoo for extended periods of time in all weather conditions.PUBLIC CONTACT: Requires heavy public contact requiring considerable interpersonal skill, extensive interaction with the public requiring a high degree of appreciation of customer service.
