Provide an array of behavioral health assessment and intake services, including crisis services involving mental health and chemical dependency, crisis intervention, stabilization, triage and referral to behavioral health programs within Providence Health & Services or to providers in the community.

Perform risk assessment, and refers consumers, family members and referents to appropriate resources in accordance with the urgency indicated.

Coordinate admission of patients into all Providence Health and Services Behavioral Health OP and IP programs.

Provide brief solution-focused treatment to children, adolescents, adults, individuals and families in crisis. Provide consultation and education to community agencies including the police, hospital, mental health, and chemical dependency and school personnel regarding those persons experiencing mental health symptoms.

Work with complex insurance issues, obtains authorization for initial treatment on behalf of the consumer. All services are provided to enable consumer and collaterals to more effectively deal with the impact of psychiatric illness or chemical dependency disorders on the individual and the family.

Required qualifications for this position include:
Master's Degree in counseling, psychology, or social work with three years prior experience in behavioral health.

Knowledge of Mental Health, Chemical Dependency and Co-Occurring disorders.

Preferred

qualifications for this position include:
License from a recognized licensing Board or eligibility for licensure is preferred.

Previous crisis and triage experience as well as experience in a health system is preferred.

Five years experience preferred.
