Western State Hospital is recruiting for P14 on-call doctors (no state benefits) to perform required admission assessment of patients brought to the hospital and respond to acute medical/psychiatric needs of all inpatients for the duration of the on-call period.

Dept/Unit: Admissions Suite
Applicants must have relevant experience in the performance of histories and physical examinations and the diagnosis and treatment of acute medical and psychiatric disorders.
Virginia medical license required with current BLS certification. Completion of one year of residency training in postgraduate medical education.
Bi-lingual Spanish and English are a plus.
The successful applicant must pass a criminal background investigation, drug screening test and employment reference check. The applicant must have the ability to perform at the level of physical demands noted on the Employee Work Profile and the verified ability to perform the essential functions of the position.
