General Statement of Job
This is position is responsible for professional work in the coordination and monitoring of the delivery of mental health services, including activities in prevention, identification, referral, and treatment. An employee in this position is responsible for administering the mental health services area. The work involves conducting classroom observations, designing behavior management plans, training for parents and staff, and working closely with mental health providers and community agencies.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Functions:
Conducts general classroom observations, and recommends behavior interventions.
Oversees behavior screening on all patients, arranges Behavioral Management services as needed.
Teachers effective parenting skills, trains all staff on positive mental health practices such as: interviewing techniques, observations techniques, crisis and intervention skills.
Provides individual counseling and intervention in crises.
Performs advocacy function with social agencies, and other professionals in order to obtain family needed services.
Performs case management services when appropriate through referrals to mental health providers and agencies; follows referrals to insure service delivery and monitor the progress.
Travels between District Home Office and Clinic sites in performing job duties.
Emergency duty may be required of the incumbent that includes working in special needs or Red Cross shelters or to perform other emergency duties including, but not limited to, responses to threats or disasters, man-made or natural.

Position Qualifications

Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, School Psychology, or a related field.

Three (3) years experience in mental health required.

Valid Florida driver’s license required.
