Under the general supervision of the Adult Mental Health Services/Bridges Crisis Unit Coordinator, provides a supportive atmosphere for consumers, responds to emergency situations and monitors program activity. Provides assistance to clinicians and interacts with consumers in a short term crisis intervention program. Must be able to problem solve crisis situations and intervene with consumers both individually and in group settings. Candidate is responsible for obtaining and sharing information with therapists in the Community Mental Health Authority system. Candidate is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and secure environment. This position involves preparing the evening meal for up to 16 residents.

Possession of high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalency required. A minimum of one year of experience working with persons with emotional impairments required. Ability to communicate accurately and effectively both orally and in writing is required. Candidate must be physically able to provide crisis intervention. Access to reliable transportation for job related use is required.

Conditional Employment Requirements:
Employment offers for this position will be contingent upon the results of a Michigan State Police Criminal History Background check (including fingerprinting), a physical exam. Must be able to pass a physical exam annually. Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen.
