Summary : Accountable for working directly with Target buying office/merchandise planning department, publishers, and internal Readerlink departments to provide planogram creation, design and management that drives merchandising execution and excellence at store level. The Merchandise Presentation Specialist is responsible for all D59 (books) Planograms, Merchandise Planning Department Index Files, Add/Drop listings, and additional merchandising disciplines that facilitate operational performance, both within the supply chain and at store level.

Essential Functions : To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies to perform the essential functions of this position:

Create, revise and manage all D59 virtual planograms within pre-determined index files and software applications.

Manage change frequency timelines for all Target book planograms, and keep respective teams apprised of corresponding timing.

Management of all product sample materials and other needed office functions enabling Readerlink to be successful in its Category Management Charter.

Creation and management of add/drop listings ensuring accuracy and effectiveness of information.

Management of image/dimension library for all D59 items.

Manage imaging and intercept process for all D59 Planograms.

Provide thought leadership for Target merchants.

Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree is preferred

Minimum of 2 years industry or related experience

Knowledge of JDA/Space Planning, Microsoft Word, Power Point and Excel

Previous experience working with a big box retailer

Excellent presentation and communication skills

Language Skills :
Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Ability to speak with all levels of the organization

Mathematical Skills:
Must be proficient in mathematics

Ability to add and subtract 2 digit numbers numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s

Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurements, volume and distance

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form

Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
