POSITION SUMMARY:
Design, develop, maintain, update, and distribute reports and tools used by Merchandising and Inventory Management to plan, forecast, and analyze financial results. Design, develop, maintain, and update Excel databases to support the reporting, planning, forecasting, and analysis. Develop ad hoc reports and analysis as needed to support emerging business needs.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Excel and MicroStrategy Reports Support
• Design, create, and maintain Excel and MicroStrategy reports to support Merchandise planning, forecasting, reporting, and analysis
• Analyze new or enhanced report requests, determine the data required and identify the best source and access/update methods – Excel database, Microsoft Query, Hyperion, MicroStrategy download, SAS download, etc.
• Design and develop the report, update and checkout/validation process.
• Create and maintain macros to effectively and efficiently update the Excel reports
• Create and maintain update and checkout documentation
Excel Databases Support
• Design, create, and maintain Excel databases to support Merchandise planning, forecasting, reporting, and analysis
• Analyze new data required for new or enhanced Excel reports and tools, including allocations, aggregation and summarization of MDW, Retek, Hyperion, SAS, and Excel input data.
• Identify the best source and access/update methods – Microsoft Query, Hyperion, MicroStrategy download, SAS download, SQL Developer, Nielsen, etc.
• Design and develop the database structure, update and checkout/validation process
• Create and maintain macros to effectively and efficiently update the databases
• Create and maintain update and checkout documentation
Update and Distribute Reports, Databases and Forecasting Tools
• Update and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly reports, databases, and forecasting tools
• Update reports and databases and validates the information is accurate
• Maintain report update and validation documentation
• Maintain end user documentation and instructions
• Research and respond to end user questions regarding the reports distributed
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
• Two year accounting degree or equivalent work experience.
• Two years non-exempt accounting experience.
• Two years of experience with advanced Excel functions, including macros and Microsoft query.
• Strong understanding of database structures and design.
• Experience with Ad Hoc Report writers (e.g. Crystal Reports, Access, Microstrategy Desktop, etc.), Merchandise Data Warehouse Web reports, Retek, and the merchandising planning and forecasting processes. (desired)
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Proven ability to produce accurate, high quality work with strong attention to detail.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & WORK REQUIREMENTS:
• Able to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
• Able to operate various office equipment (e.g., personal computer, telephone, facsimile machine, copier, etc)
• Ability to effectively communicate with all types of associates through written and two-way verbal communication.
• Able to read and write at a high school graduate level.
• Able to lift 10 to 20 pounds.
• Able to work normal and/or extended (evenings, nights, and weekends) office hours to meet established deadlines.
• Able to travel independently to support Company objectives and personal development.
